Boarding Dogs
| Grooming |

Grooming can be arranged for during your dog’s stay with us. Whether your dog is simply bathed for your return or receives the full grooming package, there are discounted rates for boarders. Of course bathing and grooming can also be arranged for non boarders by separate appointment. See main Grooming page. |
| Feeding |
|---|
Dogs will be fed twice daily – breakfast and tea time and a choice of dog food is available. Special dietary requirements can also be catered for.
Please note a charge of £20 per visit will be made for animals being taken to Dalriada Veterinary Surgery for routine or emergency treatment. A charge will also be made for administering medication to animals. This charge will be calculated on an individual basis.

| Collection and Delivery service |
|---|
|
For those owners who experience difficulty with collecting their animals within our opening times we can collect and deliver – please discuss with us when booking. |
| Availability |
|---|
We are open all year round for boarding dogs; however, it is always advisable to check availability as early as possible to allow time to arrange for vaccinations if required and to avoid disappointment. We do not take bookings online – please telephone or call by. |
| Vaccine Requirements |
|---|
|
Every dog being admitted to Achnabreac Kennels must have a current vaccine certificate issued by a veterinary surgeon and in addition must be vaccinated against kennel cough. In April of this year Intervet / Schering Plough Pharmaceuticals issued new guidance regarding their Kennel Cough vaccine. Dogs receiving the vaccination for the first time cannot be admitted into kennels until 14 days from the date of vaccination have passed. Dogs receiving their annual Kennel Cough vaccination booster, providing it has not lapsed, need not be excluded from kennels. Dogs with lapsed vaccinations must adhere to the ‘14 day exclusion’ rule. We regret that no dog will be admitted for kennelling without a fully valid vaccine certificate. We trust that owners will regularly worm and apply tick/flea repellents to their dogs. For advice on wormers and tick/flea repellents, please discuss with your vet.
